Most people who use microsoft excel 2007 feels that the changing is to radical, one of many complaints that emerge from existing excel user is the new file type introduced in ms excel 2007.
But, luckily, you could change the default file type for ms excel 2007 from xlsx to regular xls that can be opened by ms excel 1997-2003:
Here’s the steps:
- Right clcik on Home Tab
- Select customize quick access toolbar.
- An excel options widow will emerge. This is the control panel for excel options in ms excel 2007.
- Click on save and then click the save files in this format menu.
- Choose Excel 97-2003 and click OK.
- Next time you save your excel document, your workbook will be automatically saved as an xls that can be opened on ms excel 97-2003.
