Many methods to create barcode, but i prefer using font. U can download the font here. By using font, u may create barcode practically on every applications that run on Windows, eg: MS Word 2007, MS Word 2003, wordpad, notepad, etc. But the barcode you will create only the code 39 since the fonts available on the Net is Code 39. I have browsed for UPC fonts, but it was unavailable, most of it were commercial, or malware.

Microsoft is offering a Free unlimited installation and compatibility support for Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). The support from Microsoft for SP1 will be valid until March 18, 2009. There is a new security improvement on Internet Explorer 8. It was built above the base of fishingovogo filter that was used in the IE 7.

This will makes IE 8 can do threats screening tighter and can detect malicious sites more thoroughfully by using it’s new filter method, the SmartScreen.

As you may notice, Microsoft has set June 30th as the deadline to stop their xp shipping to most PC manufacturers except for low-cost UMPC’s eg Asus Eee PC and MSI Wind.

Although the shipping is stopped, the support still countinues to approximately year 2014 so if you use win xp, don’t be dissapointed.

So now if you want to purchase pc, you will have to choose Vista (or Linux). Bye-bye xp, it’s vista era now.

what i will tell you right now is Peazip portable. It’s a version of Peazip bundled on a portable format so you can do archiving and unarchiving on the go. You don’t have to install this software on each computer. This software can directly executed from usb flash disk, pendrive, or others.

Almost everybody know blogdesk from blogdesk.org. It’s a full featured blog client for windows operating system. It has many features, such as:

I was just reading the method to make Vista basic can activate it’s aero from Softpedia. The conclusion is:

1. You have to fulfill the minimum hardware requirements to enable this feature on your Vista basic. The minimum requirements are:
• VGA card with support for DirectX 9 graphics WDDM Driver, 128 MB of graphics memory (The card should have minimum feature of Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware and 32 bits per pixel).
2. Open Regedit window to edit the Windows Registry by executing Regedit.
3. After the registry window opened, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > DWM registry key.
4. Set Composition registry key to 1 and Composition Policy registry key to 2.
5. Restart the Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager service. You can do this by executing net stop uxsms and net start uxsms command
6. Restart your Vista home basic, then you should be enjoying your Vista Aero experience.

For samba administrator who has vistas on their clients, it’s sometimes painful to make both of them (vista and samba) working peacefully. The vista won’t connect to samba. This is because Vista default policy is not allowing samba authentication.
To overcome this problem so that vista can access samba, you could do these steps:

1. Open run window (by clicking Win button + R) and execute secpol.msc
2. Click the Continue button.
3. Open Local Policies > Security Options.
4. Open the Network security: LAN Manager authentication level.
5. Change to LM and NTLM - use NTLMV2 session security if negotiated.
6. Restart your Vista.
