Yawcam is a software that can make your webcam to be a motion detector device. These are system requirements for using Yawcam:
- A Computer using Windows XP or Vista operating system.
- Webcam plus driver.
- Java Runtime Environment 6 + (Yawcam was developed using Java)
- Windows Media Player 9+
- DirectX 9 +
How to install Yawcam on your system:
- Download Yawcam from Yawcam’s website.
- Execute yawcam.exe and follow the installation wizard until the program installed perfectly on your system.
- Now, activate Yawcam by executing Start menu > Start Up Yawcam
One of yawcam’s facilities is a motion detection. if the webcam detects some motion, then it will automatically record the motion The settings to make Yawcam can detect motion are:
- Click Window > Motion Detection (a new window should appear).
- A blue line appears when you move something in front of the webacm.
- Click Actions tab and uncheck the Play Sound checkbox
- Choose Settings to save file and activate the Image array.
- Click the Enable button to start the monitoring.
