How to set Gaim/Pidgin as IM Client for Google Talk
GAIM (now Pidgin) is the best IM Client in Linux (and also Windows and Mac, ha ha) that supports many famous IM protocols. One of them is Google Talk. This article will tell you how to set Gaim so that it can recognize Google Talk and use it to chat.
A picture worth thousand words, so just see this two images below to know the how-to.

PS:
1. Using Pidgin (instead of GAIM) is easier fror GTalk since it already has GTalk protocol wizard, so you don’t have to enter server and port informations manually.
2. Pidgin is currently not supporting Webcam, so you can’t view webcam from Pidgin.
